Indian Navy & Crimson Energy Sign Contract to Develop AI-Based Maritime System ‘Deepdarshak

On the occasion of Navy Day 2025, the Indian Navy has taken another significant step towards strengthening India’s defence innovation ecosystem under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. A formal contract has been signed between the Indian Navy and Crimson Energy, the winner of the India iDEX Challenge, for the development of an advanced indigenous maritime analytics platform named ‘Deepdarshak’.
‘Deepdarshak’ is envisioned as a comprehensive AI/ML-driven maritime analytics system, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to enhance real-time situational awareness, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making capabilities across naval operations.
This collaboration underscores the Navy’s continuous commitment to empower Indian start-ups, promote indigenous R&D, and accelerate the adoption of next-generation digital technologies in maritime security.
The signing of this agreement marks a major milestone in fostering innovation within the country’s defence landscape and highlights the Navy’s proactive role in nurturing home-grown technological solutions.
