Indian Overseas Bank Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor
The celebration was further enriched by a display of unity, as Shri Srivastava led the gathering in taking the Pledge of National Integration.
Chennai: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a leading public sector bank, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride at its Central Office. The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director & CEO, at 08:00 hours, accompanied by the National Anthem and followed by a grand parade.
The celebration was further enriched by a display of unity, as Shri Srivastava led the gathering in taking the Pledge of National Integration. In a special recognition, the bank’s volleyball team was lauded for their exceptional performances in various state-level tournaments held in Coimbatore, Bargur, Thindal, Chennai, and the Hockey Team in Madurai.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy and Shri Dhanaraj T, Executive Directors, and Shri Rajeev Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer. Several General Managers and Senior Executives of IOB were also present, reflecting the deep sense of pride and enthusiasm that permeated the celebration.
