In commemoration of International Women's Day, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, in collaboration with NTPC Bongaigaon, spearheaded a community welfare initiative aimed at empowering women and enhancing the socio-cultural fabric of the township.
Under the esteemed presence of Shri Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, District Commissioner of Kokrajhar, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, the initiative unfolded with fervor and purpose. Shri Dwivedi, acknowledging NTPC's commitment to societal betterment, particularly applauded their endeavors in girl empowerment.

A key highlight of the event was the distribution of solar lights to 40 GEM girls of 2022, providing them with sustainable solutions for their lighting needs. This gesture not only promotes renewable energy but also lays the importance of empowering young women through access to resources.
