IRCON awards Rs. 31 crore signalling contract to MRT Signals
The awarded value of the contract is Rs. 31,39,93,949.21, and the project is expected to be completed within 18 months.
IRCON International Ltd. has awarded a contract to M/s MRT Signals Limited for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Multiple Aspect Colour Light Signalling (MACLS) systems at Riyang, Melli, and Rangpo stations, and modifications at Sivok station on the new Sivok-Rangpo BG Single Rail line section, with a contract value of Rs. 31.4 crore.
The contract involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Multiple Aspect Colour Light Signalling (MACLS) systems at three stations—Riyang, Melli, and Rangpo—and the alteration of existing signaling systems at Sivok station.
The awarded value of the contract is Rs. 31,39,93,949.21, and the project is expected to be completed within 18 months.

This contract marks a significant step towards enhancing railway signaling efficiency and safety on the Sivok-Rangpo route. With MRT Signals Limited at the helm, the project promises to deliver state-of-the-art signaling systems that align with the latest standards and future operational needs of the Indian Railways.
The scope also includes extensive indoor and outdoor work, such as trenching, cable laying, the installation of point machines, signals, location boxes, and level crossing gates.

At Riyang, Melli, and Rangpo stations, MRT Signals will install a centralized Electronic Interlocking (EI) system, including provisions for future centralized operations.
Additional installations include Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and the implementation of a Remote Diagnostic and Predictive Maintenance System (IoT) at all four stations.
