NCL concludes Interregional Cultural Competition 2022-23
In this three-day competition, on the basis of points, the team of the Nigahi region was the overall winner and the team of NCL headquarters was the runner-up.
New Delhi: The annual inter-regional cultural competition of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) for the year 2022-23 was held from 18 to 20 November 2022 in the Bina area. During this three-day cultural program, about 174 participants, including male and female personnel from 12 regions and units of NCL, displayed their art with full enthusiasm.
In this three-day competition, on the basis of points, the team of the Nigahi region was the overall winner and the team of NCL headquarters was the runner-up.
In this competition, many genres depicting the cultural diversity of India, such as Carnatic Music, Rabindra Sangeet, Dhrupad, Dhamaal, Khayal, Thumri, Folk Music, Qawwali, Bhajan, Ghazal, Film Songs, Bharat Natyam in Dance, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Kathak, playing on tabla, flute, synthesizer, benzo, saxophone, sitar, violin, etc., comedy, orchestra etc. were included.
Shri Manish Kumar, Director (Personnel), NCL was present as the chief guest during the closing ceremony. Shri Kumar appreciated the three-day event and said that the NCL employees have performed like accomplished artists in various arts. He also talked about giving opportunities to this personnel during various programs organized by the company, which would improve their performance.
JCC members of NCL Mr Ajay Kumar from CMS, Mr Arun Kumar Dubey from BMS, Mr Ashok Kumar Pandey from HMS, General Manager of CMOAI Mr Sarvesh Singh, General Manager- Bina Mr Rajeev Singh, Members of NCL Sports Promotion Board, Regional Workers Representatives of the union, other officers and employees were present.
During this, Mr Rajeev Singh, General Manager, Bina Area welcomed all the guests and Staff Officer (Personnel) Mr PK Srivastava gave the vote of thanks.
Classical singer Dr Neeraj Kumar from Prayagraj, classical singer and tabla player Mr Vishal Shanti Vishal and flute player Dr Pawan Raj Chowdhary from Varanasi were present in the judging committee during the competition.
It is worth noting that for the all-around development of the personnel, cultural programs, sports competitions and other similar programs are organized every year in NCL.
