NHPC, GRIDCO Limited signs a power purchase agreement
The project is scheduled to be commissioned within a period of 12 months
New Delhi: A Power Purchase Agreement has been signed between NHPC Limited and GRIDCO Limited on 19.05.2021 for Procurement of Power from the NHPC's proposed 40 MW Solar PV Project in the state of Odisha. The execution of this agreement has paved the way for NHPC to set up a 40 MW Solar PV Power Project at Landeihill, Jagannathprasad in Ganjam District in the state of Odisha.
The power generated from the said plant of NHPC shall be procured by GRIDCO at a levelized tariff of Rs. 2.75/unit for the entire project life of 25 years. The EPC Contract for the above work has already been finalized by NHPC and a Letter of Award of work shall be issued shortly. The project is scheduled to be commissioned within a period of 12 months
