New Delhi: Ms. Ankita Sarkar, Assistant Manager (TS-Environment) NRL and Ms. Faraah Yasmin Bora, Senior Officer (Operations-SDU) NRL were honoured as the Best Young Engineer and Second Best Young Engineer respectively at the Young Engineers’ Award 2024 instituted by the Senior Engineer Forum, NE, Assam to recognize outstanding achievement/contributions made by young Engineers in the NE region.
The award comprising of a citation and trophy were presented to the winners at a ceremony organized on the occasion of the 20th Foundation Day of Senior Engineers Forum-NE region, Guwahati on 20 February 2024 at the Institute of Engineers (India), Assam State Centre, Guwahati in presence of MD NRL Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan as the Chief Guest, and Former MLA Padmashree Ajoy Dutta as the Guest of Honour.
Three eminent engineers - Mr. Girindra Kumar Bordoloi, a veteran engineer and consultant, Mr. Dipak Chakravarty, former Managing Director, NRL and Dr. Sashindra Kumar Kakoty, Professor, IIT Guwahati - were the esteemed jury for the competition.
