NTA declares UGC-NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects
New Delhi. 29 August: The results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for 84 subjects have been released, with over 4,000 candidates being selected for the Junior Research Fellowship.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) ordered fresh examinations for candidates who took the English, Commerce, and Sociology papers in June of this year after an expert committee discovered factual, typographical, translation, and language errors in the question papers.
The NTA released the UGC-NET answer key on August 16, nearly two months after the exam, along with a special notice for the Sociology, Commerce, and English papers.
Later that day, it announced that the three examinations would be redone in September, citing the errors. The re-examinations are scheduled for September 9 and 10, and candidates will not be required to pay any additional fees.
