For the upgradation of government ITIs of the Begusarai district, NTPC Barauni under its community development initiative has set up two smart computer labs at the Government ITI Begusarai and Government Women ITI, Begusarai respectively.

NTPC Barauni: For the upgradation of government ITIs of the Begusarai district, NTPC Barauni under its community development initiative has set up two smart computer labs at the Government ITI Begusarai and Government Women ITI, Begusarai respectively.
The fully functional computer labs with a total of 100 all-in-one computer systems, computer tables, and chairs were inaugurated by Shri Roshan Khushwaha, (District Magistrate, Begusarai) in the presence of Shri Rajeev Khanna (Head of Project, NTPC Barauni), senior officials of NTPC Barauni, district administration, school administration, and students.
Speaking on the auspicious occasion, District Magistrate, Shri Roshan Khushwaha shared that, ITI being a fountainhead towards technical education, is an integral part of national development.
He motivated the students of ITI by telling them about the importance of technical education and its importance towards progress and development. He also encouraged the children to use all means of modern communication systems like computers and mobiles to enhance their knowledge.

He also highlighted some of the key initiatives that are being carried out by NTPC Barauni in the nearby villages amongst the participants of the event.
Shri Rajeev Khanna, (Head of Project, NTPC Barauni) also shared that, NTPC Barauni is committed towards the uplift of the communities located in the vicinity of the project as they are important partners/stakeholders in India’s growth story.
He also asserted that NTPC Barauni has been continuously working towards bringing positive change by enhancing educational institutions by providing them with school bags, school desk benches, fans, graffiti painting, construction of classrooms, toilet complexes, and many more initiatives.

With this sheer commitment, NTPC Barauni has been reaching out to uplift the local community through its community outreach initiatives like a fully operational mobile medical unit (that provides medical assistance to pregnant women, children, etc), providing assistive aids to differently able persons, relief material at the time of crisis, by organizing various educational/ awareness programs for the people, encouraging local sports persons in the form of sponsorship and so on.
On conclusion of the event, the children were filled with great excitement and enthusiasm.
