NTPC Kaniha Dedicates Community Hall at Hariharpur under CSR Initiative
The event witnessed active participation from the villagers, who expressed their gratitude and excitement for this new facility.
In a significant step towards enhancing community infrastructure, NTPC Kaniha constructed and handed over a newly built community centre at Hariharpur village, located in the Kaniha Block of Angul District, Odisha.
The inauguration ceremony was held on 1st September, 2024 with great enthusiasm and graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Rudra Narayan Pany, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Dhenkanal, Odisha), as the Chief Guest. Also present were Shri Ashok Mohanty, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Pallahara, and Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Head of Project, NTPC Kaniha, who played a pivotal role in this initiative.

Sujita Rath, Additional General Manager (HR), and Smt. Deeptimayee Pradhan, Sarpanch of Hariharpur Gram Panchayat and other officials of NTPC. The event witnessed active participation from the villagers, who expressed their gratitude and excitement for this new facility.
During his address, the Chief Guest, Shri Rudra Narayan Pany, praised NTPC Kaniha for its consistent and impactful efforts in promoting the socio-economic development of the region. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering community well-being and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of project-affected villages.

Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Head of Project, NTPC Kaniha, reiterated NTPC’s steadfast commitment to the development of the surrounding areas. He pointed out that NTPC is actively engaged in several key areas, including education, healthcare, water and sanitation, rural infrastructure development, and skill enhancement, all aimed at fostering sustainable growth in the region.
The dignitaries also appreciated solar powered drinking water system installed by NTPC Kaniha beside the community centre to meet the drinking water requirement of the village.
