NEW DELHI- ONGC’s CSR initiative Bandicoot uplifts sanitation workers. World’s 1st manhole-cleaning robot Bandicoot eliminates the dangers of manual scavenging. The robot was developed under Make In India & Swachh Bharat Mission, India by GenRobotics
Presenting Union Budget2023, Hon’ble Ministry of Finance, Government of India Nirmala Sitharaman stated, “All cities and towns will be enabled for 100% mechanical desludging of septic tanks and sewers to transition from manhole to machine-hole mode.”
The government of India intends to eliminate manual scavenging.
