PLI Scheme would be a game-changer on imports for Specialty Steel: Chairman SAIL
Shri RCP Singh, Hon'ble Union Minister of Steel inaugurated the Seminar in presence of Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Steel.
New Delhi: The Steel Minister organised Seminar on Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel which was inaugurated by Shri RCP Singh, Hon'ble Union Minister of Steel in presence of Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Steel.
The seminar provides a platform to the stakeholders for brainstorming key features of the PLI scheme. The daylong seminar was organized along with MECON Ltd, FICCI, and Invest India.
Smt. Soma Mondal, Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited also presented in the seminar along with Shri Pradip Kumar Tripathi, Secretary (Steel), Smt. Rasika Chaube, Additional Secretary (Steel), Shri Salil Kumar, CMD MECON Limited, Shri Dilip Oommen, CEO Arcellor Mittal Nippon Steel India, Shri Subhrakant Panda, VP Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Shri Deepak Bagla, MD and CEO Invest India.
Speaking on the Event Smt. Soma Mondal, Chairman SAIL expressed that the PLI Scheme would be a game-changer in reducing the dependency on the imports for Specialty Steel.
Shri Salil Kumar, CMD MECON, briefed the importance of the PLI scheme and introduced the booklet on the PLI scheme. He further elaborated the information and guidelines related to the PLI scheme.
