PM Modi Dedicates SJVN's Seven Projects with Rs 5515 cr investment
These hydro and solar power projects will contribute to the nation's goal of achieving a net zero carbon emission economy by 2070.
Shimla/Delhi: In a proud moment for SJVN, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually Dedicated to the Nation four Power Stations of SJVN namely 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station in Uttarakhand, 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Station, 75 MW Gurhah Solar Power Station and 50 MW Gujrai Solar Power Station in Uttar Pradesh in a ceremony at Adilabad, Telangana today.
Hon’ble Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of SJVN’s projects viz 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project and 15 MW Nangal Floating Solar Power Project in Himachal Pradesh and 70 MW Solar Project in Assam. These hydro and solar power projects will contribute to the nation's goal of achieving a net zero carbon emission economy by 2070.
Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation, laid foundation stone and inaugurated Power & Infrastructural Projects of more than Rs 56 thousand crores.

At the ceremony in Telangana, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Smt. Geeta Kapur and Director (Finance), SJVN Shri Akhileshwar Singh were also present. In SJVN Corporate Headquarters, Shimla Sh. Salil Shamshery, ED (IT&SE), Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, ED (HR) and senior officials virtually joined the ceremony.
Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN, Smt. Geeta Kapur, expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership for uninterrupted, reliable and affordable supply of Power to All. She reaffirmed SJVN's dedication to realize Shri Narendra Modi's vision of achieving 500 GW installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030. Smt. Kapur also extended gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Minister of Power & New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K Singh, Government of India and the State Governments for entrusting SJVN for execution of power projects.

They are expected to generate 2255 million units of energy annually and will reduce 20,10,941 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
SJVN, a power sector CPSE, has diversified its business into almost all forms of energy i.e. Hydro, Thermal, Wind, Solar, Power Trading and Power Transmission. The company is marching ahead to achieve the Shared Vision of 25000 MW by 2030 and 50000 MW installed capacity by 2040.
