POWERGRID bags contract under TBCB to build Inter State transmission system
The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited on 23rd September 2024.
State-owned Power Grid has been declared bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish Inter-State transmission system.
According to the exchange filing made, this is to inform that Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been declared as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish Inter-State transmission system for “Provision of Dynamic Reactive Compensation at Khavda Pooling Station 1 (KPS1) and Khavda Pooling Station 3 (KPS3)” on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.

The project comprises installation of STATCOMs at Khavda Pooling Station 1 (KPS1) and Khavda Pooling Station 3 (KPS3) along with associated bays extension work in the State of Gujarat.
