PowerGrid conferred with 3rd position at the 29th National Awards for Innovative Training Practices
The award was received by Shri Anil Saberwal, Executive Director (HRD, RB & CC) on 10th April 2021 at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi.
New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), an Indian government electricity board and a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking owned by the Ministry of Power, Government of India has been awarded 3rd position at the 29th National Awards for Innovative Training Practices (Public Sector Category) for the year 2018-19 by the Indian Society for Training & Development.
The award was received by Shri Anil Saberwal, Executive Director (HRD, RB & CC) on 10th April 2021 at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi.
POWERGRID transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network. Its former subsidiary company, Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) handles power management for National Grid and all state transmission utilities. POWERGRID also operates a telecom business under the name POWERTEL. Shri Kandikuppa Sreekant serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
