In the second leg of his tour, Coal India CVO visited Ib Valley Coalfields and inspected coal mining and despatch operations along with implementation of various IT initiatives.

Sambalpur, October 18, 2023: Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer, Coal India Ltd, underscored the imperative of ongoing commitment and the establishment of a resilient framework to enhance control measures, ensuring the prevention of resource pilferage.
Shri Tripathy, who was on his maiden visit a two-day tour of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) beginning Monday and interacted with senior officers, emphasised the pivotal role of proactive vigilance as a powerful tool in safeguarding any organisation against corruption

Functional Directors of MCL, including Shri Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel), Shri AK Behura, Director (Finance), Shri AS Bapat, Director, (Technical/Projects & Planning) and CVO Shri PK Patel were prominent among Heads of Department present at the Session, which was attended by all the Area General Managers through video-conferencing.

Accompanied by the CVO, MCL, Shri Tripathy also chaired a Review Meeting of Area General Managers, Project Officers and other senior officers leading different units in the Ib Valley coalfields.
Emphasising on preventive vigilance and system improvements, he stressed upon a need of vigilant behaviour from each member of the organisation.
