Shri S. R. Narasimhan takes additional charge as CMD, POSOCO
Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) is a CPSE under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
New Delhi: Shri S. R. Narasimhan has assumed additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of POSOCO with effect from 1st February 2022.
Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Dec 2021 selected the name of SR Narasimhan for the CMD post. Earlier he was serving as Director (System Operation) in the same organisation. Narasimhan replaced KVS Baba, who superannuated on February 1, 2022.
Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) is a CPSE under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
It is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the round-the-clock integrated operation of the Indian power system in a reliable, efficient, and safe manner, thus serving a mission-critical activity.
It consists of 5 Regional Load Despatch Centers (RLDCs) and National Load Despatch Centers (NLDC).
