Santosh Kumar Jha Takes Helm as Konkan Railway's New CMD
Prior to his current appointment, Jha served as the Director (Operations & Commercial) at Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
Santosh Kumar Jha, an Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) officer of the 1992 batch assumed the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) role at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) on April 1, 2024.
Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, M.Sc. in Geology from Lucknow University and MBA in Marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Prior to his current appointment, Jha served as the Director (Operations & Commercial) at Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
He belongs to the Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) from Civil Services 1992 Batch and has 28 years of experience in Operations, Infrastructure Planning and Business Development.
He has prior experience in Head of Operations on major Divisions of Railways and also of heading major business units in the Logistic sector. He also has Commercial and Business Development experience for more than 15 years in Railways and Logistic sector along with dealing with Custom procedure, Heading Training and Rajbhasha Division.
