SBI Chairman focusing on cost reduction rationalisation to mitigate COVID-19 impact
New Delhi: Chairman of State bank of India Mr. Rajnish Kumar focusing on the cost reduction, Rationalization and reskilling of workforce and improving staff productivity which mitigates the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on its business.
On bank’s 65 th Annual General Meeting which was held through video conferencing due to the pandemic, Kumar told shareholders the plan to
save Rs 1,000 crore through such optimization.
“Bank will maintain a constant vigil on the emerging stress and take proactive action, to help our borrower customers and maintain assets
quality. The bank has stepped up its monitoring of all the projects under implementation and excepts to tide over COVID impact in the short to
medium term,” Kumar said.
