SECI disbursed 8.9 billion to wind and solar energy developers in Feb 2023
With an investment of at least Rs 2.44 lakh crore or Rs 2.44 trillion, India plans to install 500 GW (gigawatt) of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

New Delhi: The CPSU, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in February has disbursed a sum of Rs 8.9 billion to wind and solar energy developers for the electricity procured by this the Company's aymnet grew 62% YoY in February 2023. From the preceding month the CPSU saw 9.58% rise in the payments.
The promising development in India's renewable energy sector indicates that the government’s efforts to promote renewable energy, following the growth in country’s power generation mix.

Recently SECI announced the successful bidders who will receive a total of Rs. 13937.575 Cr under the second phase of the performance-linked incentive (PLI) program that aims at incentivizing the domestic production of solar modules in India with a target of manufacturing 39.6 GW of solar modules.
