Shifting totally towards the retail loans is not a good option says MD of SBI
New Delhi: Shifting totally towards the retail loans and neglecting the corporate loans is not a good idea for the lenders. The stressed matter of loans is being faced by the both borrowers and lender, Shri. Arijit Basu the Managing Director of State Bank of India speaks upon this matter in a webinar organized by ETBFSI on Wednesday.
There should be a balanced layout of all types of loans including retail, corporate, wholesale, agriculture and small business loans in the larger banks.
Shri. Basu points his view in this matter that the complete shift on the retail loan cannot be in the favor of best interests, Technically the bank has to work on those sectors which are being impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
