Shri A.K. Singh CMD NHPC participated in the conference

New Delhi: Shri R.K. Singh, the Hon'ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Power and New & Renewable Energy chaired the Conference of Power and Renewable Energy Ministers of States/UTs on 03.07.2020 through Video Conferencing.

The video conference meeting was conducted with very vast spectrum wherein representatives from all the States, CPSUs, Ministry of Power, MNRE and other Govt. bodies were jointly connected for online interaction.
 
The conference had been highly successful and interactive wherein Hon’ble Minister gave his ideas to meet the challenges and to make the entire system efficient by way of improvement in functioning of various related bodies like Discoms, Power Developing Companies etc. States have also put forward their issues. Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, also participated in the conference.
 
CMD, NHPC: Shri Abhay Kumar Singh (57 years) did his Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), in 1983. 
 
Shri Singh started his professional journey in 1985 with joining NHPC at Tanakpur HE Project (120 MW) as Probationary Executive
NHPC Limited has become the largest organisation for hydropower development in India, with capabilities to undertake all the activities from conceptualization to commissioning in relation to setting up of hydro projects. It is mentioned that the positive cooperation by higher management of NHPC of Rajbhasha has resulted in conferring of ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Award’, the highest award for best work in the field of Official Language Implementation of the Government of India to NHPC for eight times.
 
During the financial year 2019-2020, NHPC Power Stations achieved the generation of 26121 MU. The consolidated unaudited financial results of two subsidiaries which have not been reviewed by their auditors, whose financial results reflect total revenue of Rs. 0.02 crore, total net loss after tax of Rs. 0.05 crore and total comprehensive loss of Rs. 0.05 crore for the quarter ended 30.06.2019 as considered in the consolidated unaudited financial results. The consolidated unaudited financial results also include the group’s share of net profit after tax of Rs. 1.32 crore and total comprehensive income of Rs. 1.32 crore for quarter ended 30.06.2019.
