SHRM Celebrates PSE Leadership Forum 2024 with the Launch of SHRM PSE Trends 2024 Report

SHRM East Pvt Ltd. (SHRM) hosted the PSE Leadership Forum 2024 on April 19 at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, bringing together over 100 delegates from 30 PSE and government organizations. The event featured a series of insightful discussions led by industry leaders who are at the forefront of shaping the future of public sector organizations in India.

Mr. Ashissh Kaul, Director of Knowledge & Advisory and Business Head – PSE at SHRM, inaugurated the forum by welcoming the delegates and highlighting the significance of celebrating PSE leadership and driving people success. Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO of SHRM East, reinforced the importance of advocating for transformative changes in the public sector.

The forum's keynote address, titled "The Importance of the Public Sector," was delivered by Mr. D Shivakumar, the former CEO of PepsiCo. He provided a comprehensive overview of the history, challenges, and crucial leadership imperatives facing Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs). Following this, Mr. M Damodaran, former Chairman of SEBI, engaged the audience with a TED Style Talk on accountability within PSEs.

Mr. Shaakun Khanna, SHRM Advisor and Digital HR Expert, then took the stage to discuss the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in enhancing productivity within organizations. He emphasized that AI is a vital tool that augments human capabilities, significantly boosting productivity and business ROI.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Ashok Balyan, former CMD of Petronet and former Director - HR at ONGC, focused on the strengths of PSEs and advocated for a more inclusive approach to harnessing their potential.

The SHRM PSE Leadership Forum 2024 not only celebrated the achievements of the public sector but also set the course for future growth, underscoring the importance of collaboration and innovation for sustainable development in India's public sector.
