SJVN's 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Project achieved commercial operation
The Power Purchase Agreement for the project has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited for 25 years.
New Delhi: Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited today informed that its 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Project in Para-san Solar Park, Uttar Pradesh has achieved commercial operation. Now, SJVN’s installed capacity stands at 2091.5 MW.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma said that with seven operational power stations, SJVN continues to contribute significantly to India’s growing renewable energy capacity, in line with the country’s ambitious target of achieving 50% energy from non-fossil fuel sources.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further apprised that 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Project bagged at a tariff of Rs. 2.68 per unit on Build Own and Operate basis has been developed at a cost of Rs 392 crores. The Power Purchase Agreement for the project has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited for 25 years.
Project will generate 168.34 MU in the first year and the estimated cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years will be 3919 MU. This will result in revenue earning of approximately Rs. 45 crores per annum.
Current portfolio of SJVN is around 42,000 MW and is executing 69 projects pan India & abroad. Company is marching forward to achieve its Shared Vision of 5000 MW by 2023, 25000 MW by 2030 & 50000 MW capacity by 2040.
