SJVN CMD Inaugurated Blood Donation Camp at Shimla

SHIMLA: Smt. Geeta Kapur, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN inaugurated the Blood Donation camp organized by SJVN in association with IGMC Blood Bank, Shimla at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla on March 11. Sh. CS Yadav, Executive Director (HR) and other senior officers of SJVN were also present on this occasion.

On this occasion, Smt. Geeta Kapur, CMD, SJVN said that SJVN's commitment to serve the community serves as a powerful motivation in successfully organizing Blood Donation Camp every year. This blood donation camp would prove beneficial to cater to the need of blood for patients of various hospitals in Shimla and its surrounding areas.

Smt. Geeta Kapur further added that SJVN has been adopting numerous welfare measures for contributing in betterment of the society. She stated that as always SJVNites were at the forefront in charitable contribution to society and expressed pleasure in the overwhelming participation towards this noble cause, 187 units of Blood were donated by the employees, their family members, Satluj Shri Ladies Club, Shimla and contractual workers, who enthusiastically volunteered for this life saving cause.

She informed that during the current financial year 703 units have been donated in the camps organized at various offices & projects of SJVN.

Mementos and certificates were awarded by the senior officials of SJVN to donors to recognize and appreciate their valuable contribution.

Dr. Savvy Dhorta along with the team from Blood Bank, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla with the help of the volunteers from SJVN, conducted the camp successfully.
