SJVN employees contributes Rs 59 lakhs as reward to Shimla Sanitation Workers

Shimla: Shri Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN handed over cheque amounting to Rs 59,00,000/- (Rs Fifty Nine Lakhs) to Sh. Suresh Bhardwaj, State  Minister for Urban Development, Township & Country Planning, Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Co-operatives, Himachal Pradesh  Shimla today. The amount will be further distributed to 1180 Sanitation Workers–‘CORONA Warriors’ of Municipal Corporation, Shimla @ Rs 5000/- each.

The cheques were presented in the presence of senior officials of SJVN and Government of Himachal Pradesh.SJVN has already contributed Rs. 25 Crore towards the PM CARES Fund.  Co. has  also provided financial support of more than Rs. 2 Crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh to procure ventilators, other medical equipment, Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs), masks, sanitizers & gloves in various hospitals of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
