SJVN Limited organized 2nd national workshop
New Delhi: SJVN Limited organized 2nd National Workshop on ‘Developing Comprehensive and Scientific Mechanism/Model for Longterm Forecasting of Hydrology for Hydro Electric Projects’ at Chandigarh. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, in his presidential address stressed upon the importance of developing such model due to uncertainty in the stream flow projection, which poses a challenge for estimation of project generation.
He also laid emphasis on sharing vital information by all stakeholders and developing collaborative approach for forecasting of hydrology on year ahead basis. Sh. D.K Sharma, Chairman Bhakra Beas Management Board was invited as the Chief Guest for the workshop. On this occasion, Sh. R K Bansal, Director (Electrical) SJVN, Sh. R.K Sharma, MD (HPPTCL) , Sh. V K Kanjlia, Secretary (CBIP) were also present. In this National Workshop, senior officials from SJVN, BBMB, CBIP, CWC, DoEST(HP), THDC, NHPC, HPPTCL, HPSEBL, HPPCL, NIH, IIT Roorkee, IIT Mandi, IMD, DHI and other stakeholders participated.
