SJVN Organised All India Kavi Sammelan

Shimla: SJVN organised All India Kavi-Sammelan in the auditorium of Hotel Halli-de-Homme, Shimla. On this occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director, Mrs. Geeta Kapoor, Executive Director (Human Resources), Mr. Chandra Shekhar Yadav and many senior officers and employees of the corporation were present as the chief guests. Members of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, Dr. Vikas Dave, Dr. Yatindra Kataria, Professor Puran Chand Tandon, Deputy Director (Implementation) of the Official Language Department, Shri KP Sharma and senior journalist Shri Rahul Dev and retired professor and journalist of Himachal Pradesh University, Shri Ajay. Srivastava was also present as a special guest.

On this occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director said in her address that every possible effort is made to motivate the employees of the Corporation to do their work in Hindi. She expressed happiness over the fact that employees participate in Hindi-related programs with great enthusiasm and said that in our daily official work we come face to face with Hindi as the official language.

Through this All India Kavi Sammelan, the audience enjoyed the literary form of Hindi. It is a matter of good fortune and pride that the eminent poets of India not only made the audience laugh through their humorous compositions but also made them express human sensitivities and emotions. This event is indicative of our efforts to increase the participation of the Corporation in other areas of Hindi.

Among the poets invited during the All India Kavi Sammelan, veteran, renowned and budding poets of Hindi literature like Padmashree Dr. Sunil Jogi, Mr. Vineet Chauhan, Ms. Kirti Kale, Mr. Rajesh Chetan, Mr. Kesar Dev Marwari and Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal wrote poems with humor and social they enthralled the audience with message-laden poems and songs.

While on one hand Padmashree Dr. Sunil Jogi mesmerized the audience with his impressive compositions in his vigorous and familiar lyrical style, on the other hand the poets present enthralled everyone with their poetic poems and presented their respective compositions on patriotism and social subjects. The poets' compositions and humorous acts, mimicry and poems not only made the listeners laugh but also made the listeners think by criticizing the social inconsistencies.
