Supreme Court Quashes Gujarat HC Order in Adani Ports Land Dispute, No Operational Impact

Ahmedabad: The Supreme Court of India has quashed and set aside both the Gujarat Government’s order and the Gujarat High Court’s direction regarding the grazing land dispute involving Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ). The Supreme Court has directed the state government to issue fresh orders after giving all concerned parties an opportunity to be heard, while maintaining status quo in the interim.

APSEZ clarified that the Supreme Court order has no material adverse impact on the company’s operations or financial performance. The matter, which had been in the public domain since 2024, involved the resumption of 108 hectares of land allotted to the company, initially contested by APSEZ through legal channels.
