THDC lowers Main Inlet Valve of Second Unit in1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Project

New Delhi: Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, announced a significant accomplishment as the Main Inlet Valve (MIV) of the Second Unit (U#6) in the 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Project was successfully lowered on November 28, 2023.

This achievement marks a crucial step toward commissioning the Nation’s first Variable Speed Pumped Storage Project (1000 MW). Sh. Vishnoi commended the dedicated efforts of the Tehri PSP Project team, expressing congratulations to all involved for their sincere and concerted contributions to reaching this milestone.

Sh. L. P. Joshi, Executive Director (Tehri Complex, APP) speaking on the occasion congratulated Team PSP and expressed his gratitude on this yet another significant milestone. 

 

The event was attended by senior officials from THDCIL and GEPIL, including Sh. Neeraj Verma, GM (PSP-EM&HM), Sh. A.R. Gairola, GM (PSP-Civil), Sh. P C Kureel, Ex Principal Chief Engineer, CEA (THDCIL Consultant), and others.
