UIDAI records 231 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in November

UIDAI has announced that it has recorded 231 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in November 2025, demonstrating a growth of around 8.5% over November 2024. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), this is the highest monthly figure recorded in the current financial year. The total transactions stood at 219.51 crore in October 2025.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that it has recorded 231 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in November 2025, demonstrating a growth of around 8.5% over November 2024. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), this is the highest monthly figure recorded in the current financial year. The total transactions stood at 219.51 crore in October 2025.
 

According to the UIDAI data, the gradual increase in the monthly authentication volume points reflects the growing adoption of Aadhaar in service delivery and the expanding digital ecosystem in the country. The Aadhaar Face Authentication has been witnessing continued uptake. Around 60% of Digital Life Certificates generated by pensioners in November used face authentication.

The AI-based feature is compatible with both Android and iOS platforms and allows identity verification through face scan. A total of 28.29 crore face authentication transactions were recorded during November 2025, compared to 12.04 crore in November 2024.

e-KYC transactions saw strong growth as well, with 47.19 crore transactions recorded in November. This represents an increase of over 24 per cent from the same month last year. UIDAI stated that the Aadhaar e-KYC service continues to support ease of doing business, particularly in the banking and financial services sectors.
