Vendor Development Programme at WCL Nagpur

New Delhi: MSME-DFO Nagpur and WCL Nagpur organizes Vendor Development Programme (VDP) for WCL on 20-21 November 2023 at WCL Civil lines Nagpur. Programme is supported by Buttibori Manufacturers Association (BMA), Maharahstra Industries association (MIA) & Dalit Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industries (DICCI).

The main objective of the programme is to create common platform for WCL / GeM as buyers & MSEs as sellers.  Govt. of India has announced Public Procurement Policy from 2012 As per the Public procurement Policy is it mandatory for central ministries/CPSUs to procure minimum 25% of their annual procurement from Micro, Small Enterprises(MSEs) out of which 4% earmarked for procurement from MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs & 3% by women entrepreneurs. The programme will benefit the MSEs by supporting them in marketing of products manufactured and services rendered by them.

Programme will be inaugurated on 20.11.2023 at 11 AM by Shri. Manoj Kumar, CMD WCL Nagpur in presence of Shri. J P Dwivedi, Director (Tech) Operations, Shri. Anil Kumar Singh, Director (Tech) P&P and Shri. P M Parlewar, Director MSME DFO Nagpur.

This Programme provided a golden opportunity for existing and prospective entrepreneurs to explore possibility as vendor to WCL & GeM.   Shri. Shailesh Jadhao from GeM Mumbai will present on GeM vendor registration procedures, GeM requirements and also explain the benefits of Government e marketplace as supplier. Vendors and Entrepreneurs are invited to participate in Vendor Development Program to explore the possibility to become a vendor for supply of Goods or Works or Services to WCL.
