Bengaluru January 2026 — Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOCINC), Western Naval Command (WNC), met with Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, at Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The meeting focused on strengthening maritime security and coastal defence measures in the state. Key discussions included enhancing civil–military coordination, promoting community outreach initiatives, and leveraging WNC programs to safeguard Karnataka’s coastal regions.

Vice Admiral Swaminathan highlighted the Indian Navy’s ongoing efforts to support state authorities in disaster management, maritime safety, and public awareness campaigns along the coastline. The Chief Minister appreciated the Navy’s proactive engagement and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts for security and community development.

This engagement underscores the continued commitment of the Indian Navy and Karnataka state authorities to work together in promoting maritime safety, coastal resilience, and effective civil–military partnerships.
