New Delhi: Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has crossed a major milestone by commissioning 10 GW of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) renewable energy projects in India, reinforcing its leadership in the country’s clean energy transition.

The company disclosed the development through a press release filed with stock exchanges on January 27, 2026. The 10 GW EPC portfolio includes 9.7 GW of solar projects and 290 MW of wind projects, comprising 4.2 GW of in-house projects and 5.8 GW executed for third-party clients.

During the first nine months of FY26 (April–December 2025), TPREL commissioned 1.88 GW of renewable energy capacity, marking a 33% year-on-year increase compared to 1.4 GW commissioned in the same period of FY25. In Q3 FY26 alone, the company added 941 MW, its highest-ever quarterly addition, registering a sharp 139% growth over Q3 FY25.

Of the total capacity added in the first nine months of FY26, 1,329 MW was commissioned for third-party customers, while 546 MW was for Tata Power’s in-house renewable projects, including 187 MW of wind and 359 MW of solar capacity. These projects were executed across five states, despite challenging soil and climatic conditions.
