Starting his journey with NBCC in the year 2005 as Deputy General Manager (Engineering), Shri K. P. Mahadevaswamy has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise and successfully rose through the ranks of the organization to the position of Chairman & Director.
As Director (Commercial) of NBCC, Shri Swamy had a wide portfolio which included execution of redevelopment of 7 GPRA colonies, "Amrapali Works" under the supervision of Hon'ble Supreme Court, Real Estate Division, Trade Promotion Division, Central Procurement Division, Overseas Affairs. Shri Swamy was awarded "Realty Person of the Year Award" by EPC World Awards in New Delhi in July, 2023 for his outstanding contribution to the real estate sector.
His leadership as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSCL is particularly noteworthy. During his tenure, he successfully transformed the company's operations from people-driven to system-driven. In a very short span of his leadership, he transformed a loss-making PSU - HSCL into a profitable Miniratna company. This significant achievement earned him the prestigious "CEO with HR Orientation Award" by World HRD Congress and Times Ascent in Mumbai in February, 2021.
Mr. Swamy is a graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Mysore and has also done M.Tech. in Research. Mr. Swamy has further enriched his business management and leadership skills with an Executive Program in Leadership and Management from IIM Calcutta. Mr. K.P.M. Swamy has vast and rich experience of working in the construction industry for over 32 years.
During his professional journey, Shri Swamy has demonstrated his expertise by successfully managing high-value, complex and diverse civil engineering projects across the country. From construction of hospitals, educational institutions and office buildings to Indo-Pak border fencing works and overseeing the Gosikhurd irrigation project, he has consistently delivered projects for NBCC despite facing all challenges. Prior to his tenure in NBCC, Shri Swamy had experience of working with a large refinery company i.e. PSU, BHPV (Bharat Heavy Plates & Vessels Limited) and also with a reputed MNC for refractory work. He also has experience of executing works using precast technology with a reputed South Indian infrastructure and construction company in the year 1991.
Mr Swamy has adopted a people-centric approach and has diligently maintained client satisfaction while motivating his teams towards the highest standards of excellence. His compassionate leadership has further cemented NBCC's position as a sustainable growth company.
