Singh is Graduated in Commerce (B. Com, M.A.) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDIM) from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi. He has over 28 years of rich experience in Agriculture (Seed) sector, while handling different portfolios and departments such as Head of Marketing Department in SFCI from 2001-2014, Head of Production, Marketing & Legal & Corporate Affairs in N.S.C from 2014-2023.
He also headed number of committees, in N.S.C regarding Policy matters and Pricing of Seed. He was also Director of Rajasthan Seeds Corporation, Maharashtra Seeds Corporation and Andhra Pradesh Seeds Corporation.
