Chairman, Coal India, Calls on Hon’ble Union Coal Minister
New Coal India CMD B. Sairam meets Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy to discuss production targets, efficiency, and energy security roadmap for 2025-26.

New Delhi: Following his assumption of charge as Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL), Shri B. Sairam paid a courtesy visit to Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal and Mines, in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Shri B. Sairam briefed the Hon’ble Minister on the future roadmap of Coal India and discussed the company’s strategic role in strengthening India’s energy security.
The discussions focused on enhancing coal production, improving operational efficiency, and aligning Coal India’s efforts with national priorities.
The Chairman highlighted Coal India’s commitment to ensuring a stable and reliable supply of coal to key sectors such as power, steel, and infrastructure, while also adopting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
The Hon’ble Coal Minister appreciated the initiatives taken by Coal India and emphasized the importance of timely production, innovation, and efficiency to meet the country’s growing energy demand. He also reiterated the government’s support for Coal India’s efforts towards achieving long-term energy security and economic growth.
