Engineers India Ltd CMD, Atul Gupta gets extension for additional charge of Director (Commercial)
New Delhi, 3 September: The Competent Authority has approved the extension of the additional charge of the post of Director (Commercial), Engineers India Limited, to Shri Atul Gupta, C&MD, Engineers India Limited, for a period of three months w.e.f. 30.09.2026 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
A mechanical engineer from GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Shri Gupta is a seasoned leader with over three decades of distinguished experience in conceptualizing and executing complex projects across domestic and international markets. He has led cross-functional teams in delivering multi-billion-dollar projects on time, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
Prior to assuming the role of Chairman & Managing Director, he headed the company's Commercial Directorate from August 2022, where he led key functions such as business development and supply chain management with a strong focus on growth, operational excellence, transparency, efficiency, and value creation.
Shri Atul Gupta has assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Engineers India Ltd (EIL) with effect from June 29, 2026.
