GAIL inaugurates Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025

GAIL formally launched Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) 2025 at its Corporate Office in New Delhi on 3rd October 2025. The month-long initiative is dedicated to enhancing awareness of the critical importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape.

The inauguration was graced by the presence of Shri R. K. Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL. In his address, Shri Jain highlighted that this year’s theme, “Cyber Jagrit Bharat”, set by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), underlines the collective responsibility of safeguarding national critical infrastructure, including GAIL’s SCADA systems. He emphasized that cyber vigilance is not limited to management or IT teams but is a responsibility shared by every individual.

Shri Jain also outlined GAIL’s initiatives to strengthen its cybersecurity framework through Security Operations Centres (SOCs), specialized training, and IT/OT integration, while urging employees to adopt responsible cyber hygiene practices to secure the ecosystem.

The event connected all major GAIL sites through video conferencing and featured an insightful session by a distinguished cybersecurity expert.
As part of CSAM 2025, GAIL will organize a series of activities, knowledge sessions, and competitions throughout October for employees and their families, with a focus on fostering stronger cybersecurity awareness and preparedness.
