HPCL Expands PNG Network in Siliguri, Powers 2,700 Homes with Cleaner Energy
Siliguri: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has taken a significant step in advancing India’s clean energy transition by expanding its Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network across key urban areas.
The company recently achieved a major milestone by receiving authorization to supply PNG to Uttorayon Society, the largest residential complex in Siliguri, covering approximately 2,700 households.
Project Inauguration in Presence of PNGRB Official
The development was marked by the presence of Jayanta Narayan Das, Member (Technical) of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), underscoring the regulatory support for expanding city gas distribution infrastructure.
Cleaner Energy for Homes and Businesses
Beyond residential supply, HPCL’s PNG network in Siliguri will also extend to prominent commercial and healthcare establishments, including major shopping, hospitality, and medical facilities in the city.
The expansion is expected to:
