MDL Delivers Fourth P17A Stealth Frigate Mahendragiri to Indian Navy

New Delhi: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has delivered the Fourth Stealth Frigate of the Project 17A (P17A) Class, “Mahendragiri”, to the Indian Navy.

The Acceptance Document (D448) was signed by Capt. Jagmohan, Chairman & Managing Director of MDL, and Rear Admiral Gautam Marwaha, VSM, Chief Staff Officer (Technical), Eastern Naval Command, in the presence of senior officials from MDL and the Indian Navy.

The delivery of Mahendragiri marks another significant milestone, reflecting MDL’s professionalism, technical expertise, and capability in constructing advanced warships. The vessel further strengthens the operational strength and maritime capability of the Indian Navy.

Indigenously designed and built, the warship incorporates advanced technology and stands as a strong symbol of India’s commitment to the Make in India initiative in the defence manufacturing sector.
