New Delhi: The 54th  All India Mines Rescue Competition (Coal & Metal) – 2025, organized under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), concluded today at the WCL Parade Ground, Mine Rescue Station (MRS), Nagpur. Marking a historic milestone, MOIL Limited successfully hosted this prestigious national event for the first time, reflecting its growing leadership role in mine safety, emergency preparedness, and operational excellence in the Indian mining sector. The event was organized with the active support of the Mine Rescue Station, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).

 

The competition witnessed participation from 13 coal companies and 6 metal companies, represented by 25 coal teams, 11 metal teams, and 7 women’s teams, highlighting the increasing emphasis on inclusivity and skill development in mine rescue operations nationwide.

 

The closing ceremony featured audio-recorded messages from Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman & Managing Director, MOIL Limited and CMD (Additional Charge), RINL, and Shri Ujjwal Tah, Director General of Mines Safety, who commended MOIL’s exemplary efforts in successfully organizing the national event and lauded its contribution to strengthening India’s mine safety ecosystem.

 

 

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Shri Ramawtar Meena, Deputy Director General (Western Zone), DGMS, along with other senior dignitaries including Shri Neeraj Kumar, DDG (North Zone), DGMS; Shri J. P. Dwivedi, CMD, WCL; Shri Rakesh Tumane, Director (Finance), MOIL; Shri M. M. Abdulla, Director (P & P), MOIL; Shri Anandji Prasad, Director (Technical), WCL; and Shri N. P. Deori, Chief Judge, acknowledged MOIL’s expanding role in promoting best practices in safety and operational efficiency.

 

The successful hosting of the 54th  All India Mines Rescue Competition by MOIL Limited stands as a testament to the company’s robust institutional capacity, future-ready safety framework, and strong growth outlook.
