National Fertilizers Ltd to enter into JV for new Ammonia-Urea Plant in Assam
The proposed Joint Venture is to be incorporated for setting up of an Ammonia-Urea Complex, Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant at Namrup, Assam, in terms of the Union Cabinet decision dated 19.03.2025.

New Delhi: State-run Fertilizer PSU, National Fertilizers Ltd will incorporate with other companies to form a joint venture firm to set up a new Ammonia-Urea Complex Namrup-IV Fertilizer Plant in Assam.
According to the exchange filing made the Board of Directors of National Fertilizers Limited at its Meeting held today viz. Friday, April 18, 2025 has, inter alia, accorded its consent to enter into Joint Venture Agreement with other nominated Companies to form a Joint Venture Company for the setting up of a new Ammonia-Urea Complex Namrup-IV Fertilizer Plant at Namrup, Assam.

The proposed Joint Venture is to be incorporated for Setting up of an Ammonia-Urea Complex, Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant at Namrup, Assam in terms of Union Cabinet decision dated 19.03.2025.
The tentative overall time schedule for completion and commissioning of Namrup - IV Project is 48 months from zero date. The shareholding shall be 18% of equity shares in the joint venture to be incorporated and the estimated cost will be around Rs 572.45 crore.
