NLCIL Secures LoA for 110 MW Solar Power Project from NCRTC

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for the development of its 110 MW (AC) Grid Connected Solar PV Power Project in the State of Uttar Pradesh under Captive Mode.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for the development of its 110 MW (AC) Grid Connected Solar PV Power Project in the State of Uttar Pradesh under Captive Mode.

NCRTC is a joint venture company of Government of India and the States of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh set up for ensuring balanced and sustainable urban development. NCRTC is developing the 110 MW captive solar plant in Uttar Pradesh through a joint venture to power its entire Regional Rapid Transit System corridor.
 

The LoA has been issued pursuant to the competitive bidding process conducted by NCRTC. The project involves the setting up, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the solar power plant and is expected to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The project will cater to NCRTC’s captive power requirements and support its vision of adopting clean and sustainable energy solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The award of this project further strengthens NLC India Limited’s growing renewable energy portfolio and reinforces its strategic focus on expanding its solar power footprint in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
