NTPC Green Energy Commissions 37.925 MW from Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat

New Delhi/Greater Noida: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has successfully declared the commercial operation of 37.925 MW capacity from its Khavda Solar Energy Project in Gujarat. This capacity forms part of the larger 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project.

The new addition takes effect from 00:00 hours on 18 December 2025, marking a significant step in NGEL’s ongoing renewable energy expansion. With this commissioning, the total installed capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited and its subsidiaries now stands at 7,927.26 MW, up from 7,889.335 MW prior to this addition.

The Khavda Solar Project, a strategic initiative under NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, reinforces NGEL’s commitment to scaling up clean energy infrastructure in India. The project supports the government’s renewable energy targets and contributes to the diversification of NTPC’s energy portfolio.
