New Delhi, Feb 20, 2026: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has informed the stock exchanges that the second part capacity of 165 MW out of the 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat has been declared commercial with effect from 00:00 hours on February 20, 2026.

In a regulatory filing dated February 20, 2026, the company disclosed that the project is developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

Capacity Addition Details:

  • Project: Khavda-II Solar PV Project, Gujarat

  • Total Project Capacity: 1200 MW

  • New Capacity Declared Commercial: 165 MW (second part)

  • Effective Date: February 20, 2026 (00:00 hrs)

  • Executing Entity: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (wholly-owned subsidiary of NGEL)

Group Capacity Update:

Prior to this addition, the current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stood at 8827.68 MW. With the commissioning of this 165 MW capacity, the total installed capacity of the group has increased to 8992.68 MW.
