NTPC Group Confirms Installed Capacity at 89,108 MW, Commercial Capacity at 88,028 MW
New Delhi, April 1, 2026: NTPC Limited (National Thermal Power Corporation), India’s leading power producer, has officially updated its capacity figures, confirming that the total installed capacity of the NTPC group now stands at 89,108 MW, with a commercial capacity of 88,028 MW.
This disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as communicated to the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).
The announcement comes as a partial clarification of an earlier disclosure made on the same day, emphasizing NTPC’s continued commitment to enhancing India’s energy infrastructure.
NTPC, established in 1975, has consistently focused on expanding its power generation portfolio, with operations spanning thermal, hydro, solar, and wind energy projects across the country.
