Petronet LNG Limited Announces Postal Ballot for Director Tenure Extension

New Delhi: Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) has announced the commencement of a Postal Ballot process to seek approval from its members for the extension of the tenure of two key whole-time Directors. This exercise is being conducted exclusively through the remote e-voting system in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and recent Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) circulars.

The core purpose of the ballot is to approve the re-appointments of Shri Akshay Kumar Singh, Managing Director & CEO, for a "one-off final extension" from February 1, 2026, to May 12, 2027, and Shri Pramod Narang, Director (Technical), for a "one-off final extension" of two years, spanning from November 26, 2025, to November 25, 2027.

 

The e-voting facility for this Postal Ballot will be provided by National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL). The voting period is scheduled to commence on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. (IST) and will conclude on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (IST).

Only those members whose names appear on the register as of the cut-off date, Friday, December 5, 2025, are eligible to cast their votes electronically. Petronet LNG has ensured that the notice is sent to eligible members electronically, urging them to register their email addresses with the company or depositories, as physical copies of the notice and forms are not being distributed. The results of the e-voting will be scrutinized and announced on or before Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and the resolutions, if approved by the requisite majority, will be deemed passed on the last date of the voting period (January 10, 2026).
