RailTel Loses ₹89.91-Crore Order After Bihar Education Council Cancels Project
New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has informed stock exchanges that the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and Work Order worth ₹89.91 crore received from Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) has been cancelled by the customer due to unavoidable reasons. The company disclosed this information under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Earlier, on September 8, 2025, RailTel had announced that it had secured the major order from the State Project Director, BEPC, for the supply of teaching-learning material for Class I to V in government schools across Bihar. The total estimated size of the order as per the LoA was ₹89,91,96,639.
However, in its latest exchange filing dated January 13, 2026, the company confirmed that the customer has now cancelled the work order, citing unavoidable reasons. RailTel has not disclosed any financial impact or compensation details related to the cancellation.
