REC Forms Vizag Power Transmission Ltd for Green Hydrogen Project in Andhra Pradesh
New Delhi, February 16, 2026: REC Limited has informed the stock exchanges about the incorporation of Vizag Power Transmission Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), which itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited.
The incorporation has been made in compliance with Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The company has been formed for developing the transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen/Green Ammonia projects in the Vizag area, Andhra Pradesh (Phase-I).
Regulatory Background
The incorporation follows a Gazette Notification dated December 26, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Under the notification, RECPDCL has been appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for selection of a Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process for the inter-state transmission project.
Future Transfer to Successful Bidder
After the selection of the successful bidder in accordance with the TBCB guidelines, Vizag Power Transmission Limited will be transferred to the selected bidder along with all its assets and liabilities.
